About the Journal
The Medical Journal of Bujumbura (MJB) is a scientific publication of the University of Burundi dedicated to the dissemination of research in health sciences, public health, and clinical medicine in the Great Lakes region of Africa.
The Medical Journal of Bujumbura aims to promote excellence in medical research in Burundi and internationally. We publish original research articles, systematic reviews, clinical case reports, and short communications. Our main areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment by the editorial board. If deemed suitable, they are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge (Creative Commons License: CC BY or CC BY-NC)
