Call for papers for the Issue 1 of the 23rd Volume
The Journal of the University of Burundi is a multidisciplinary journal whose Humanities and Social Sciences Series publishes original, high-quality articles covering a wide range of topics in all fields of the humanities and social sciences. It is a bilingual journal now also published online, offering free, unrestricted access to its full-text scientific content.
After two issues published in October and December 2025, the Humanities and Social Sciences Series is resuming its normal biannual publication schedule. This call for contributions is addressed to authors who wish to publish their work in issue 1 of volume 23. This issue is open to all fields of the humanities and social sciences, namely: Anthropology, Archaeology, Arts, Communication, Literary Criticism, Demography, Economics, Education and Applied Pedagogy, Environment, Geography, Management, Project Management, History, Journalism, Languages and Literatures, Linguistics, Philosophy, Psychology, Language Sciences, Sociology, Oral and Written Expression Techniques, Tourism, Transportation, etc. Any other contribution considered relevant by the scientific committee will be accepted within the limits of the available editorial space.

Submitted articles must not have been previously published, nor currently under review by another journal.

Launch of the call for papers: january 16th, 2026
Deadline to submit the full texts: may 16th, 2026
Deadline of notifications for authors: june 10th, 2026
