Objective: Contribute to the management of VTE associated with pregnancy during pregnancy and post-partum. Patients and methods: we conducted an observational prospective study about 12 cases of deep venous thrombosis collected at the Obstetric Gynecology department of the CHUK during a period of 4 months. Was included any patient with signs of deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs on Doppler ultrasound during pregnancy or in the post-partum. Results: The average age of our patients was 28.3 years. 10 patients were under 35 years old. Primigest were predominant in 50% of cases. The majority of our patients had neither a history nor risk factors for this condition. 58% of thrombophlebitis occurred in post-partum. 60% of antenatal thrombophlebitis occurred during the first trimester. 57% of pregnant women with DVT gave birth vaginally. 86% of postpartum thrombophlebitis were late. Involvement of the left lower limb was predominant in 50% of cases. The calf pain, decreased calf sloshing were present in all patients. The diagnosis was based on Doppler ultrasound of the lower limbs in 100% of cases. The treatment has always been medical based on LMWH and AVK. The outcome on therapy was favorable in almost all cases. Conclusion: Pregnancy is a risky situation for deep venous disease. It should always be considered as such and managed properly.
