INFLUENCE INTERLINGUISTIQUE SUR LES STRATÉGIES D'ACQUISITION DE VOCABULAIRE EN LANGUE TERRITORIALE: LE CAS DES LOCUTEURS BURUNDIENS DE PERSE

La présente étude avait pour objet d’enquêter sur comment les étudiants Burundais en Iran font usage de leur compétence multilingue dans leurs stratégies d’apprentissage du lexique de la langue persane comme troisième langue. La fréquence des stratégies inter-linguistiques, la distribution des types de transfert lexical à travers les différentes stratégies, ainsi que l’influence des connaissances linguistiques précédemment acquises sur les stratégies faisaient l’objet d’enquête. Un questionnaire d’informations de base, la version modifiée de l’Inventaire des Stratégies d’Apprentissage de la Langue (SILL, en sigle) proposé par Oxford (1990), et un questionnaire étaient les outils de collecte des données de la part de quatorze participants. Les résultats d’une analyse quantitative et qualitative montrent que, même si toutes les stratégies étaient utilisées, les stratégies inter-linguistiques les plus observées chez les sujets étaient les stratégies métacognitives, celles de mémoire, et les stratégies sociales. Les résultats montrent également la prédominance du transfert inter-linguistique de la forme dans les stratégies sociales, celle du transfert sémantique dans les stratégies métacognitives tandis que les stratégies affectives étaient dominées à la fois par le transfert inter-linguistique de la forme et celui du sens. L’étude montre finalement que toutes les langues précédemment acquises par les sujets exerçaient une influence sur leur acquisition du vocabulaire persan, avec l’anglais exerçant la plus grande influence alors que le rôle du kirundi, langue natale des sujets, était le moins observé.
