Abstract

The use of ICTs in the education system plays a key role in the improvement of education quality. This study looks at examining the level of integration of ICTs in teaching and
learning process. The Data, collected using a questionnaire administered to 11 teachers and 96 students selected and analysis of documents, are analysed by the SPSS software. The results reveal that the integration of technological materials in teaching and learning Kiswahili is not effective. The lack of enough computer skills and insufficiency of ICTs slow down effective integration of technological resources in classroom. Assessing the use of available ICTs would lead to the needed improvements.
